Addiction

This is my take on the sweet Chex Mix so aptly named, Addiction. It is highly adjustable, so experiment away. By the by, this makes a ton - so you'll have enough to share with friends and neighbors.

3 sticks butter
2 C. sugar
2 C. karo syrup (light corn syrup)

Boil for 3 minutes and pour over:

1 large box Rice (or Corn Chex)
1 large box Golden Grahams (or Life cereal)
3-4 C. Coconut
3 C. Sliced Almonds

1/2 bag or so of broken pretzel pieces

Stir until cereal mixture is coated with sugar mixture. Spread onto parchment paper to cool.

Funny...my grandma has been making this for years at every family event. It is yummy and so versatile according to tastes! I've never seen anyone else do it before. Great minds think alike!

I adore this mix. My secret ingredient? M&M's. The candy shell keeps them from melting, they add a punch of color, and just the right amount of chocolaty goodness.
